I have had Final Fantasy VII on the brain today for no particular reason. I hope this picture gets it out of my system.

It’s Blasphemous Saga Fantasy’s Birthday. So I did a doodle for a warmup. Happy Birthday!

This is amazing. Thank you so much!

Of all the games I played in 2012, I think Rhythm Heaven Fever was my favorite. And within it, my favorite minigame was Screwbot Factory.

Nintendo Power ended recently, which is significant for me because without Nintendo Power I don’t know if I’d be into making comics at all. That’s in no small part due to Howard & Nester, a comic that ran occasionally in Nintendo Power from the beginning up until 1991 when Howard Phillips left Nintendo. So I wanted to pay homage to one of my first comic art influences (if anyone can tell me the name of the guy who drew most of those comics, I’d be eternally grateful, the internet doesn’t seem to know) and a large part of my childhood.
BUT I also wanted to draw Game Grumps fanart. So then I ended up making this. It feels right somehow.
It was fun to imitate another style, which I thought would be a lot harder than it was. It was still a challenge, but it was really enjoyable. I think it turned out to be a pretty good imitation, overall.
So, thanks for the childhood memories, Nintendo Power. And thanks for the adulthood laughs, Ego and Jon!

I drew some Homestuck fanart. This is (currently) the (apparent) villain, Lord English.
